Creativity and Innovation

I have been spending a lot of time reading and thinking on creativity and innovation recently. I have always enjoyed the creative however it was not until recently that I made some bigger connections. I am now convinced more than ever that we need to do all we can to awaken the creative side of people we meet.

The more we can encourage one another to think in a unique manner and be as creative as possible in the various situations of life the richer the world will be as a result. I do not mean rich in the sense of monetary wealth (however it may lead to that) but rather I mean colour and new life that comes from an engaged community.

I heard an old saying many years ago that said that we would serve humanity better if we spent more time drawing out what God left in instead of wasting our time trying to put in what God left out. I could not agree more. The problem that arises however is that we cannot predict what the future looks like then. This statement messes up the standard forms of mentoring and opens up to new possibilities of people becoming who they were uniquely designed to be.
