RE:CREATE Your World

Each of us dream about making a difference in this world. We all desire to contribute with the knowledge that we are co-creating a better future for everyone. Occasionally we get caught up in normality and want to step things up a bit but lack the creative juices in the moment to do so.

I wrote 10 Ways to RE:CREATE Your World to be an inpsiriation to go for more and to remind us that our presence and uniqueness in this world is valuable. It is my hope that some great ideas pop into your mind as a result and that those ideas lead to actions that enrich the world

Think Like an Innovator

If our perceptions create reality then it makes some sense to occasionally think about how we are thinking. Einstein claimed that a problem could not be solved at the level at which it was created and necessitates us to notch up a level or two to see things differently. The challenge here is that we are not often disciplined in how to do this.

Every impasse can lead to a greater opportunity but we often miss it by getting stuck in some form of analysis paralysis. Thinking differently can be achieved by altering a belief or simply a perception. If we choose to look at something from a different angle or from someone else's viewpoint we can often come up with a plethora of solutions that our normal way of seeing things does not produce.

I wrote 8 Ways to Think Like an Innovator as a stimulus for those who are seeking to look at the world differently, even if just for a moment.

Enjoy...

Yes Sir, No Sir

Michael reminded me of an important mental process I learned a while ago. When I say I learned it I by no means have mastered it or use it everyday. It is the concept of recognition that everytime you say yes to something you are saying no to something else, or even more powerfully stated that everytime you say yes to someone you are saying no to someone else.

As someone who likes to help and support people I need this frequent reminder to not overextend myself or be saying no to family or fun a few times too often.
